What we have learned from the OJ trial

On Wednesday, November 15, at 7:00, there will be a forum entitled What we Have Learned from the OJ Trial. We will have two guest panelists: The Police Chief of Worcester, Robert Guardella, and the Rev. Richard Wright, minister of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Worcester. The forum will take place in Salisbury 104.

Given the rush of events in our country and our communities with the trial, the Million Man March, the possibility of Colin Powell running for President, the issue of Black/White relationships have boiled once more to the top of the American agenda. We believe that the WPI community needs to be engaged in this discussion. As the police chief of a multi-ethnic city and the pastor of an African-American church in the same city, these two men have unique and important roles to play in this discussion and can help us understand many of the issues involved.

The forum is being sponsored by the Humanities Department, the Protestant Campus Ministry, and the Student Life Office. There will be refreshments following the address.
