Rejoice! The Christmas Season is upon us. The birth of our King. Let us remember in this time why He came to us, and be joyful for it. An angel came to Joseph in a dream and told him, "...She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." Matthew 1:21 (NIV). Jesus came to save us from our sins! Let us remember this and focus on this in the coming weeks. Try not to get all wrapped up in shopping and buying gifts. But, rather with your focus on Christ share with another the Gift that God has given to all mankind, his Son. Allow the Spirit of the season to be with you as we part for break. Pray for the Holy Spirit to continue to move amung us in the coming semester and year. Have a wonderful break and a Merry Christmas.
ISC
Hey, hey, hey! It's almost over - we're almost out of here and it feels awesome. Just make sure you guys don't stress out too much because....hmm, why don't we want you to stress out? Well, just because we care, and soft stuff like that!
After that awesome Intn'l Dinner event, I wonder how our other events are going to top it...Don't worry, we've got a couple of ideas that will keep you screaming for more - well Jimmy does anyway! Look out for a ski trip, sports events and that much talked about Cultural Festival.
Thanks for your support for the last two terms, and lets see some more for the rest of the year! Have a wonderful and safe break! Till next year, this is the ISC signing off!
ISO
The ISO glittered this week at the Annual Dinner. There was food, dancing and plenty of entertainment. If you weren't there you missed a fabulous event and unfortunately you will have to wait till next year. The dances were great, the songs melodious, and the fashion show "wow"ed the audience. Alden Hall was the perfect place for the students to "strut their stuff" and the audience definately enjoyed what we had to offer. Lots of hard work went into this event, so a special thanks is due to the officers: Sameer Bhoite, Swathi Subramanian and Ranjit Kher for getting this event together. Also a big thanks to the participants and all those who helped to make this event a big success. Without the support of our members none of this would be possible. If you liked what you saw on Wednesday look out for our big dance party held in C term. More later on that event. Meanwhile peace, and a happy break to all. See ya in C term!
Lens and Lights
Hey, the last one of the year! I hope everyone had fun at Letters to Cleo. That was our big thing of the week. Thanks to all those who helped in getting the ton of events that we had last week. The wish list is in, so if you want to take a look at it, just ask one of the officers if you haven't seen it yet. We have many new toys, and our cones are being repaired. Yeah! If you haven't heard, the Christmas party is on Dec. 15th, around sixish. We will begin to really party after the event in Riley. Also, we are going to try and have an auction sometime in early c-term. Well, hope everyone has a good holiday break, and I'll see you in the new year!
Pershing Rifles
It's just about the end of the year, and that means three things: (1) finals are coming up; (2) break is almost here; and (3) we just initiated some pledges (or ex-pledges now). For those that made it (hopefully all of you did), congratulations from Troop E-12 on a job well done. Now, we can start planning activities for next semester, especially how to get more pledges (if anyone else out there is reading this and is interested, call Army ROTC at x5268 or 752-7209 for information and phone numbers of troop members, or email us at pershing-rifles@wpi). Start thinking about what you'd like to do or see, and we can start planning it. Other than that, have a great break and holiday season, and we'll see you next year! ECHO TROOP STANDING TALL; FIRST TO FIGHT, LAST TO FALL!
Pre-Law Society
Thanks to everyone who attended Ms. McLane's presentation on Patent Law. She was both informative and interesting. Her story just goes to show that WPI students can go on to succeed in non-engineering fields with a little hard work. The budget is going to be turned in next week! Anyone who has any ideas concerning the budget is encouraged to contact Wendell Jones (wendell@wpi) or Chris Frangus (fergie@wpi). Our next meeting will probably take place the second week of C term. Check your email or right here in the Club Corner for the exact date and time. Well, hope everyone does well with finals. Have a good break and we'll see you next year!
