Changes in on-campus advertising rates

by Dave Koelle - Editor-in-Chief

Newspeak has decided to lower its on-campus advertising rates to make advertising more accessible to campus groups and organizations. In the past, various parts of the community have wanted to advertise but may have had trouble affording the higher prices. To help make Newspeak a more "community-friendly" paper, we decided to make advertising costs less restrictive.

We have taken the category "on-campus" and have divided it up into three sub-categories: "student organizations," "school departments and offices," and "on-campus fundraising." Each sub-category has its own rates. The changes, which take effect immediately, are as follows:

Student Organizations.

per column inch: $1.56

Eighth page: 12.50

Quarter page: 25.00

Half page: 50.00

Full page: 100.00

School Departments and Offices.

per column inch: $2.34

Eighth page: 18.75

Quarter page: 37.50

Half page: 75.00

Full page: 150.00

On-Campus Fundrasing.

per column inch: $1.00

Eighth page: 8.00

Quarter page: 16.00

Half page: 32.00

Full page: 64.00

Please note that all other advertising rates will remain the same!

Newspeak reserves the right to limit the amount of advertising space requested by a single group, organization, department, or office. Newspeak reserves the right to determine whether an ad should receive the "student organizations," "school departments and offices," or "on-campus fundraising" rate.
