NBA Basketball
- Toronto Raptors 97, Boston Celtics 95
- LA Lakers 124, Boston Celtics 107
- Grant Hill edged out Michael Jordan in All-Star voting
NHL Hockey
- East beat West in the All-Star Game on Saturday, January 21, 5-4
- Ray Bourque, defenseman for the Bruins was awarded Player of the Week and also MVP of the All-Star Game for scoring the game-winning goal in the final minute of play.
