A-level CPR training focuses on providing information and training based upon the American Heart Association's booklet, "Basic Life Support Heartsaver Guide." It covers the essential skills needed to assist an adult victim who may be having a heart attack, having difficulty breathing or is choking. After a brief discussion, each participant was given the opportunity to test his/her skills on a mannequin. (It's not a dummy!!)
Dianne Moreau, building custodian in Boynton Hall, stated: "This training was an excellent refresher for the skills I learned many years ago. Everyone should be made aware that they could help someone with this basic level of CPR skills, and feel comfortable about it. The students did a great job of helping us either learn new skills or practice those which we haven't used in years. I encourage others to participate."
