Celebrate the ECE centennial
On Friday, April 19, the Electrical and Computer Engineering will observe the 100th anniversary of its founding with an Open House featuring displays of the department's history and current work at 2pm in Atwater Kent Laboratories. At 4pm, a panel discussion titled "The Next 100 Years in Electrical Engineering" will be held in Newell Hall. Seating is limited. Call ext. 5231 or email mpierg@ece for reservations. A public reception follows at 5pm in the lounge and special guests have been invited to a Centennial Dinner in Morgan Hall at 6pm. Dean Emeritus William R. Grogan will give the after-dinner address, "Electrical Engineering: The Early Years."
