The ISC, International Student Council, has announced that the theme behind its second Coffee Hour will be "Personal Experiences at the Bangkok Project Center," by Prof. Stephen J. Weininger. If attendance of the first ISC Coffee Hour nearly a month ago is any indication, this Coffee Hour will be a full house.

The second in a series of themed coffee hours that the ISC has planned for the course of the following year will be held in the Higgins House Library, this Tuesday, 8th October, at 6:30pm. Prof. Weininger, Chemistry professor at WPI, is the director of the Bangkok project center and is expected to give an informal talk about his experiences in the streets of Bangkok city, Thailand.

October is apple month and the ISC has decided to use that as a theme for its desserts and drinks. Apart from the usual coffee and refreshments, cider and apple pie will be served to the coffee hour attendants. Looking at the number of people that attended the first ISC Coffee Hour on Tuesday, 10th September, this coffee hour should be very successful.

The previous coffee hour, themed "Albania in Transition," by Prof. Christopher from the Mathematics department, and drew a crowd that packed the library in the Higgins House. The ISC put up a set of South East European and Mediterranean delicacies, accompanied by a variety of coffees from the Middle East and Greece presented in authentic Middle Eastern coffee cups.
