Hello OIsters, prepare to be enthralled by Mike's talent - AND his legs! Our illustrious president will be competing for the Mr. WPI title. If he wins, I hope his duties as Mr. WPI don't take up too much time!
Coming in April, we have the Dance-a-thon, a charity event on campus where students can listen and dance to lots of music all night long! Food, live bands, and prizes provided. Watch out for the Dance-a-thon April 25.
Don't forget the brother meeting Monday - 6:30 GH227.
BiLaGA
The lunch meeting for last week was a failure due to heavy snow, so everyone remember the regular meeting this Thursday at 7pm. Meet in the Wedge beforehand and we'll walk to the meeting together, or email bilaga@wpi.edu for more information. FYI, we do have a library down in health services, and we just got some neat new books (on gay/les marriage, etc.). If anyone has any suggestions of books that you would like to see in the library, email them to bilaga@wpi.edu. There is a list of books that we currently have on our webpage. Our first attempt at a movie night was a great success. Attendance was high and food was provided. Everyone who hasn't seen "Jeffrey" definitely should, it's great!
Christian Bible Fellowship
With any hope, spring is here to stay at last. The crazy weather last week left me to ponder how God loves surprises, he's always doing the last thing that we would have expected. This is true not just with the weather but with the lives of believers as well.
This weekend is the Navigator Spring Conference. Those who are going will meet Friday evening and come back Sunday afternoon. Due to this, there will be no FNF this week. Pray that all students at the conference this weekend would leave to find themselves closer to God and on the way to spiritual growth and maturity.
"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." John 15:5 (NIV).
Many of us would like to think that we can do things on our own. But this is not the case. Jesus tells us that apart from him, we can do nothing. We can not live the spiritual life that God calls us to if we are not in Christ. Just as a branch separated from the vine will whither away, the person not in Christ will whither away spiritually. But if we remain in Christ and stay obedient to his will, we will bear the fruit of the spirit; joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Remain in the true vine for life and you will be utterly amazed as as you see the fruit of the spirit growing inside and springing up from you.

Hey everyone! I smell spring, don't you? That is, despite the fact that there's what? Two feet of snow on the ground? Oh well. New Voices 15 is in full swing this week. Tech week is getting closer and closer but it seems like rehearsals just started. Catch up on sleep everyone, because the shows are going on April 23-26 and who knows what might happen. I can see a few really great cast parties in the future....oh! And I shouldn't forget Medea, the B term play...start thinking about those production positions, because they are going to need to be filled soon. Not to mention the A term MWRep show....everyone try to keep your eyes open! If you have any questions, email me at nickel@wpi.edu. 'Til next week!
Newman Club
We had a great day of retreat and planning this past Saturday. About thirty five people were involved and we all survived Fr. S's cooking of supper. You know for a bachelor, he does not do too bad. However we lined up a lot of actitives for next year and even came up with some new ways of approaching things. The Catholic Chaplain at Clark University, Beth Schaper, was the director of the retreat and she impressed us all with the ways she gets things done. This week our new officers will sit down and pick our committee chairpeople for next year. Our next big event will the annual visit of the Bishop to install our officers and chairpersons plus our new Eucharistic ministers. That event will occur on Sunday, May 4th. You all are welcome to join us on that day. Tonight, Tuesday, April 8th, our Newman Executive Board will meet at 6:30 pm in the Religious Center with Holy Hour begining at 6:00 pm. All are welcome to attend either or both events. Our discussion group will meet following the Board meeting. That event will start at 8:00 pm.
Railroad Club
Get ready for tomorrow's Activities fair, which will be from 12:30pm to 1:15 or so. The time for recruitment is here- the Activities fair will be our chance to get the word out about the Railroad Club, hopefully attracting new money - I mean members.
By now we should have at least one loop of track working for the fair; bring your rolling stock and locos! Next week's meeting will probably feature some more electrical work and lots of scenery to be done.
The Railroad Club has meetings in the Higgins Project Lab, HL005, on Mondays at 7pm until whenever. Show up when you can, and we'll show you the world of model railroading! The Club is still looking for a permanent home, so if you know of something which might be useful, don't hesitate to email railroad@wpi.edu. Our homepage is at www.wpi.edu/~railroad/.
