The Aerospace Studies Department (Air Force ROTC) recently received its third tion and Training Command Inspector General. The purpose of the biennial inspection is to provide an independent in-depth evaluation of the effectiveness of the unit to successfully employ everyday quality management principle and perform its assigned mission of producing leaders for the Air Force. Commanded by Colonel Kenneth A. Stafford, the unit includes 70 cadets from WPI and other schools in the Worcester Consortium for Higher Education. The department received special recommendations for excellence in command, training, recruiting and retention, unit support, and mission accomplishment. "I am extremely proud of the results," says Colonel Stafford. "The inspection showcased the hard work of the staff and cadets and reinforced our view that we are the premier Air Force ROTC unit in the nation."
