Freshmen and Sophomores are winners with the CDC

Are you a freshman wondering how you'll ever fill up a resume or a sophomore wondering if you have what it takes to make it in the real world? If you are, the CDC's hosting a great event just for you. If you're not, why not? Despite what you may think, you have already gained a great deal of knowledge that employers seek, and it's never to early to start thinking about how your knowledge and skills can be used effectivey in a career. Next week, representatives from two outstanding companies will be here to share some of their insight with you.

PricewaterhouseCoopers will be presenting "Build a Killer Resume" to the class of '02 on Wednesday, February 17th at 6:30 in Perreault Hall. And Compaq will be presenting "What It Takes To Be Buccessful in Your Career" to the class of '01 on Monday, February 15th at 6:30 in Perreault Hall. Not only will you get the inside scoop from these employers about what it takes to land your perfect job, you will also have the opportunity to win some great prizes. Freshmen are eligible to win a brand new PalmPilot and Sophomores can enter to win a Compaq Presario Laptop! Upperclassmen don't fret. Your chance to win is coming shortly! On March 29th at 6:30 in Perreault Hall, "Hit the Ground Running in Your New Job" features a guest speaker from Lockheed Martin and everyone in the class of '99 will receive a free book for attendance. General Electric will be presenting "Planning Your Career" on March 24th at 6:30 and March 25th at 4:00 in Perrault Hall, and all class of '00 students will have the opportunity to win a new TV!

We hope you are able to take advantage of this opportunity being offered by the Career Development Center. The CDC is located in the Project Center on the Lower Level and is open from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm on Monday and Wednesday and 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The CDC offers services to ensure your continued success at WPI and beyond.
