"Tribute in Light," two columns of light that rose from a spot just north of Ground Zero in lower Manhattan for a month this winter, honored the victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and served as symbols of hope for the future.
This photo, taken on March 28, 2002 by Patrick O'Connor, was part of Transformations' coverage of WPI's role in the investigation of the collapse of the World Trade Center Towers, which culminated in a report to congress not long after these columns of light were turned off for the last time.
