ATO Honors its Queen Mother

he surprise unveiling of a cherry wood memorabilia case at the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity house during Homecoming honored the group's longtime cook, housekeeper and, as the men of ATO describe her, "nurturing and caring mother."

Marie Angel Fell, "Ma Fell," spent almost 30 years in these roles before retiring in May 1997. She was perhaps best known for gaining national media attention in 1983 when she won the title of Homecoming Queen at the age of 66.

Chapter president Chris Lautenberger '99 summed up the appreciation of the packed house of alumni and active members when he said, "Ma Fell is one of the most important people in our lives. She created a legacy that will be perpetuated for years to come with the dedication of her caseŅa token of appreciation and the embodiment of gratitude and love for a very dear friend."
