Cultural exchange

WPI President Edward Parrish enjoyed a visit with kindergartners at a school in the Klong Toey slum, not far from WPI's Bangkok Project Center, during a recent visit to Thailand. Parrish brought gifts for the children, whose school is sponsored by the Duang Prateep Foundation.

Parrish and John Heyl, vice president for university relations, also traveled through India, Hong Kong and Taiwan meeting with leaders from education, commerce and industry, as well as alumni, parents and friends. They discussed potential partnerships and other initiatives that could enhance the University's groundbreaking global projects program, the most extensive global studies program at any American technological university.
