Proposed Campus Center - an architect's rendering

This plan combines Alumni Gym, Harrington Auditorium, and new construction (foreground) into one comprehensive facility and ties together the academic, recreational and residential facets of campus life.

Functional space projected:

• athletic facilities

  new multi-purpose gymnasium, Olympic-sized swimming pool, fitness and aerobics centers, jogging track

• campuswide services

  post office, book store, convenience store

• dining services

  food court and pub-style restaurant

• student organizations

  office space for student publications and administration (e.g. Student Life, Student Activities)

• multi-purpose rooms

  flexible space for meetings, conferences, continuing education, student projects

• athletic staff offices

  director, recreation director, coaches and trainers
