New trustee

arleton F. Kilmer Jr. '64, senior partner, Electronics and High Tech, at Andersen Consulting in Wellesley, Mass., is WPI's newest trustee. As an undergraduate, Kilmer, who majored in mechanical engineering, was a member of the Student Activities Board, the Debating Team, Pi Tau Sigma honor society, and ROTC. His service with the U.S. Army included a tour of duty in Vietnam as an infantry officer. He received an M.B.A. from Babson College in 1969.

Kilmer joined Andersen Consulting in 1969 and became a partner in 1979. He has served the company in a number of positions, including worldwide managing partner for Aerospace and Defense, Industrial Products, Automotive, and Electronics and High Tech.

He served as Class Agent for 1964's 25th anniversary and is a member of the President's Advisory Council and the President's International Advisory Board. A Worcester native, Kilmer lives in Braintree, Mass., with his wife, Mary Ellen, and their two sons.
