Alumni events take on a world view

WPI alumni and friends from throughout the world came together in Athens last June for a series of activities and events that included the President's International Advisory Board meeting, a reception and dinner at the Greek Embassy hosted by Ambassador and PIAB member R. Nicholas Burns, and dinner at the home of Mary and Nick Syrigos, parents of two alumni, Yanni '95 and Katerina '97. President Parrish and several members of the WPI administration attended the Athens event, which was one stop on a yearlong world tour that included visits to Istanbul and to Geneva and London, where the president hosted PIAB meetings.

Many of those who attended the gala in Greece enhanced their visit with optional tours of the country's historic sites and surrounding isles, including this group who took the high road to the ruins in Athens.
