Making sense of numbers

In late-May, the Massachusetts Academy of Mathematics and Science at WPI hosted the Massachusetts Conference on Mathematical Modeling in the Secondary Classroom.

More than 100 middle and high school teachers from throughout the state attended the daylong conference, which examined open-ended applications of mathematical ideas and skills to real-world questions.
