The SEANET program was initiated in 2002 by the Tufts Center for Conservation Medicine/Wildlife Clinic. The goal of the program remains to gather information about coastal and seabird populations, particularly along the Atlantic coast, in an effort to educate society about mortality causes and make strides toward conservation. As the program increased in size and volunteer capacity, it became apparent that more information had to be readily available and easy to access. The goal of this project was to expand upon the current SEANET website and allow for easier access to information as well as to analyze current data for trends. The website now has basic bird information, common disease information, volunteer pages by state, links to SEANET sponsors, as well as current data analyzed.
