Title	Feeding The World: The Impact of Theo Brown and John Deere

Abstract Throughout the history of civilization mankind has made farming its primary food source. In the late 1700s, British Economist Malthus predicted that population would outgrow man's ability to produce food. The vast technological advancements within the agricultural industry has allowed mankind to keep up with the growing population. This paper looks at how agricultural technology has advanced during the first half of the 20th Century. The primary method of study was through the diaries of Theophilus Brown, an engineer who worked for John Deere. Within the diaries, there is a vast well of first-hand information on the advancement of agricultural technology. This paper will look at how Theo Brown and John Deere affected the agricultural industry and therefore mankind as a whole.
