    Abstract

    This project documents the development of the preliminary design of the New WPI Residence Hall building. As the design evolved throughout its early phases, several cost estimates were performed and analyzed for each design alternative. Preliminary cost estimates were generated using traditional parametric methods as well as information generated by a Building Information Model created with Autodesk REVIT. A comparative structural analysis was performed to accommodate load requirements demanded by the construction of a future green roof for the building.
