Abstract The council of Brent in London recognizes the importance of outdoor play areas to developing children and is looking to improve the overall supply and quality of their play spaces as well as their policies concerning play. This project reviews current policies, evaluates playgrounds not known or maintained by the Council, determines deficient areas in the Borough, and proposes recommendations for improvements. The information will be used by the Brent Council to create new play opportunities in the borough.
