This project, sponsored by the Bolton Fire Department in Bolton, Massachusetts, seeks to provide the groundwork and recommendations for implementing a fire incident pre-planning system. Research on pre-incident planning was first conducted, followed by analysis of existing tools and resources available to the department. A fire incident pre-plan worksheet designed to augment the department's existing street listing file as well as provide a basis for information entry into the town's computerized dispatch system was developed based on the needs of the town. Finally, pre-plans for nine town-owned buildings were prepared.
