Title 3D Polymer Printing with Desktop Inkjet Technology

Abstract
The goal of this project was to modify an inkjet printer originally designed for home or office use to print three dimensional shapes composed of polymer. A polymer solution was developed and the mechanical components of the printer were modified for multiple layers to be printed onto various substrates. This approach can be applied in various fields where additives are incorporated in polymer sheets for controlled release.
