Abstract City of Words is a website featuring writers associated with the city of Worcester. This enhanced website is a revision of an old site, Worcester Area Writers, which was created by WPI faculty and students a few years ago. This project places heavy emphasis copyright issues and bringing writers who are still alive to the site. A major revision was the addition of a multi-media platform that includes videos and audio of writers reading their works, interviews, along with photographs of places in Worcester associate with their lives and work. In addition to the requirement of producing multi-media materials, the site will provide biographies and critical analyses of the writers that the students are responsible for.
