On October 1, 2008 two sections of Norrebrogade, a busy street in Copenhagen, Denmark, were closed to private motor vehicles. This project evaluates the traffic fluctuation on Norrebrogade and the surrounding side streets as well as the social impacts. Traffic data was analyzed from before and after the street closure and interviews were conducted to determine public opinion. To date traffic has decreased by 7.3% in the entire area, but the road closing has affected people and businesses in different ways.
