The SNAP service has existed in some form on the
WPI campus since the 1981. In its twenty-eight-
year existence it has evolved from a walking
patrol service to a walking escort, and then
finally to a van service for the students of WPI.
The service as it exists today is an on call van
service that will transport students to
residential locations within a mile of campus.
The service has been of great benefit to many of
the students who live off campus. Due to the
service's large ridership it was deemed necessary
to perform an in-depth analysis of the service to
identify areas upon which the service can be
improved.
