Special Procedures and Fees for Dissertations

Ph.D. Dissertations are no longer required to be microfilmed by University Microfilms, Inc. (UMI). If you choose to do this, there are some other procedures you will need to follow.

It is not a requirement for graduation - you can fill it out after the deadline, if need be.

Obtain, complete, and return the UMI form.
See Judy Fallon in the Technical Services area on the entry level floor of the Gordon Library. She will give you a copy of the form and answer any questions you may have. Also, you will return the form to her when you are finished.
Pay Copyright Fees.
If you wish to register your dissertation with the U.S. Copyright Office, UMI charges you $45.00 for that service.
