Missions of the WPI Web Site

The WPI Web site has four major purposes:

To support the academic mission of WPI by providing a medium for teaching, learning and research, and by providing access to a wide variety of electronic scholarly resources.
To serve as a campus-wide information system (CWIS) for the WPI community, offering ready access to a broad range of information from and about WPI.
To provide a gateway to the same information – and to the WPI community – for visitors from beyond WPI.
To play an integral role in promoting the university to external audiences and enhancing its reputation for excellence and innovation.
