71st in U.S. News and World Report

Ranked 71st out of 260 national universities in U.S. News & World Report's America's Best Colleges 2009 issue. In addition, WPI is ranked 51st among "Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs," and 50th in the "Great Schools, Great Prices" list. WPI is recognized in the "Programs to Look For" section in three areas: Internship, Senior Capstone, and Study Abroad.

MBA Program Among Nation's Top 15

Professor Receives National Recognition

Jeanine D. Plummer, associate professor of civil and environmental engineering and director of the university's Environmental Engineering Program, was named Professor of the Year for Massachusetts by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education. Newest Residence Hall Certified Green

East Hall, WPI's environmentally conscious residence hall, was awarded LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, marking the second green building on campus. Read more...
