Freeman & Reunion Plazas
Reunion Plaza was dedicated in 1996 to the loyalty of WPI's 25,000 graduates. The plaza, with its fountain and granite benches, is the centerpiece of a pedestrian mall that ties together the east and west halves of campus.
Freeman Plaza was the gift of Howard Freeman, Class of 1940, and his wife, Esther. Howard Freeman founded Jamesbury Corp. (now Neles Jamesbury), one of Worcester's major industries.
