Heather Cirka

The BME department is happy to announce that Heather Cirka, a BME doctoral candidate, was just awarded an American Heart Association (AHA) Predoctoral Fellowship from the Founders Affiliate. AHA fellowships are very prestigious and competitive, with a ~10-15% funding level. Heather scored extremely well with a Priority Score of 1.28 (on scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being the highest) which resulted in a Percentile Rank of 4.29. The fellowship will cover Heather's graduate research stipend for two years. Heather is the third student to have received this award in the history of the WPI Biomedical Engineering Department and is a doctoral student of Prof. Kris Billiar.

Please join us in congratulating Heather and Prof. Billiar!
