Graduate Research
A diverse array of bioimaging research is being conducted by our primary and affiliate faculty on the WPI campus, at the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Facility, at the University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS) and at the University of Massachusetts Medical School's (UMMS) Center for Comparative Neuroimaging (CCNI). Below is a list of general areas of bioimaging research with links to the individual labs and researchers leading the research efforts.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- Stroke characterization using MRI is being carried out at the WPI Magnetic Resonance Imaging Facility (Sotak)
- Characterization of Tumor Response to Intervention is being carried out at the WPI Magnetic Resonance Imaging Facility (Sotak)
- MRI Research on the characterization of tendon water dynamics in response to tensile loading is being carried out at CCNI (Grigg)
- Functional MRI (fMRI) studies of brain connectivity (Sotak)
- Computational studies of water diffusion in tissue (Sotak)
- Stroke characterization using MRI is also being carried out at CCNI (Sotak)
Medical Imaging
- Nuclear Medicine imaging research is being conducted in the Michael King Laboratory at UMMS. (King)
Image Processing
- New ways of displaying MRI data is being studied in the Sullivan Lab (Sullivan)
