Materials & Structures Laboratory

The Materials/Structural Laboratory (2,500 ft. sq.) is set up for materials and structures testing. The laboratory is utilized for undergraduate teaching and projects and graduate research. The laboratory is divided into three facilities. The first area is for materials processing, grading, mixing, forming, curing and aging. This includes materials such as aggregates, portland cement, concrete, fiber reinforced composites, and high performance structural materials. The second is for asphalt mix materials processing and evaluation which includes a scaled accelerated pavement facility. The third is the mechanical testing lab.
