Prof. José Argüello receives NIH R21 Award

Prof. Argüello and his collaborator, Prof. Christopher Sassetti at UMass Medical School, recently received word that their proposal to study the metal transporters of the bacteria that causes tuberculosis, Mycobacterium tuberculosum, was funded at over $400,000.  This award constitutes a recognition of Dr. Argüello’s expertise in the area of ATPases and Dr. Sassetti’s expertise with the bacteria.
