We welcome George Kaminski, our newest faculty member
George Kaminski joined the CBC department in mid-August, coming from a tenure-track position at Central Michigan University. Dr. Kaminski expands our computational strengths as his work is focused on using polarizable force-field calculations to arrive at significantly better energies of interactions between molecules. This work has applications to virtually any area of chemistry studying interactions between molecules and there are a number of WPI faculty interested in collaborating with Dr. Kaminski. He brings from CMU as part of a very active research program, one post-doctoral fellow, and is searching for another. Dr. Kaminski’s work is currently funded by an NIH R01 award. Dr. Kaminski begins his teaching career here at WPI in B term, teaching CH3550 Chemical Dynamics.
