Master of Science

The M.S. fire protection engineering program is flexible and can be tailored to individual student career goals, whether they be oriented toward engineering practice or theory and research. The master's degree requires 30 semester hours of credit, with or without a thesis. For more information, see the Graduate Catalog.

Doctor of Philosophy

The Ph.D. in fire protection engineering became available at WPI in 1991. The doctoral degree requires 60 semester hours of credit beyond the master's degree, including at least 30 hours of dissertation research.
