- Professor Robert Zalosh published a book, Industrial Fire Protection Engineering in March 2003. The description reads "Written by an international expert in fire protection engineering, this book (based on the successful course run by the author at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, USA) is essential reading for postgraduates and practitioners in firesafety engineering, academics in the field of fire science, as well as professionals and technical personnel in insurance and loss prevention companies." - On March 13, 2003, Professor David A. Lucht presented his report, "Cultural Tolerance for Fire Disasters", to the Special Meeting of the NFPA Technical Committee on Assembly Occupancies at the World Trade Center Boston.
