Confidentiality
The CEI@WPI ALL-OUT Business Plan Challenge is considered a closed competition. As such participating in the competition is not considered by WPI to constitute public disclosure. However, participants should educate themselves about intellectual property protection and exercise appropriate caution about the disclosure of unprotected intellectual property.
Confidentiality
The organizers of the CEI@WPI ALL-OUT Business Plan Challenge are committed to maintaining confidentiality as part of their everyday jobs. They will not share submissions, or meaningful details about them, with any person outside of the competition. Additionally, the judges come from a variety of professions that are exposed regularly to confidential material without signing confidentiality agreements. Therefore, the judges will not sign any such agreement or otherwise make any confidentiality commitments for this competition.
Non-disclosure
All submitted materials, except the Contact Page and the Cover Page, will be destroyed within 30 days after the conclusion of the competition. The CEI@WPI ALL-OUT Business Plan Challenge organizers take no additional responsibility for protecting intellectual or other property rights of the entrants.
Intellectual Property
Individuals and teams entering the CEI@WPI ALL-OUT Business Plan Challenge are responsible for protecting their intellectual property and/or other rights associated with their entries. Mark any confidential portion with "CONFIDENTIAL". Owners of any protectable intellectual property marked in this manner can apply for a U.S. patent within one year of public disclosure. Many foreign countries, however, require a patent application to be filed before any public disclosure. Be careful about disclosing any unprotected intellectual property in your entry.
