Susan Loconto Penta is a Founding Partner at MIDIOR. Susan is valued by her clients as a seasoned entrepreneur, disciplined engineer and an expert in product development and the alignment of technology with business objectives. Susan is well known as an effective change agent and combines her intense passion with her extensive operational and consulting experience to inspire and accelerate every organization she touches. Susan's unique ability to cut through the complex cultural barriers that exist inside organizations (and which often inhibit the success of new products or technology initiatives) enables her to achieve dramatic results for her clients.

Susan has authored numerous articles on product development, entrepreneurship and innovation and is a sought after speaker on the same subject. Susan is currently a national Director and Vice President of New Services for the Product Development & Management Association (PDMA), the international society dedicated to formalizing and codifying the product development discipline. Susan is a faculty member at Northeastern University where she teaches graduate courses in entrepreneurship, innovation and new product development. Susan also co-founded WPI's Collaborative for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, where she remains a member of the Advisory Board.

Susan is an active supporter of non-profits in the local Boston community that are dedicated to educating children and advancing women & minorities through entrepreneurship. As such, Susan is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Schools for Children (dedicated to providing alternative education choices for children) and is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Center for Women and Enterprise (dedicated to lifting women out of poverty through entrepreneurship). Susan has also co-founded and launched multiple other ventures including MODA Systems, MommaZone Inc. and MIDIOR Ventures LLC. As a tribute to Susan's professional accomplishments and unwavering community service, Susan was voted one of Boston's 40 Under 40 in 2002. Susan holds a BSEE degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from The CASS Business School in London England. Susan is an aspiring chef and some of her favorite inventions include Cuisinart's Handy Chopper along with the WireO binding system.
