Professional M.S. Degree Programs
The Professional Master of Science Degree is a graduate degree in science or mathematics for students interested in a wider variety of career options than those provided by traditional graduate programs. With support from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, WPI offers two Professional M.S. degree programs:
Open to bachelor's degree holders in the sciences, mathematics, or engineering, the new self-contained Professional M.S. degree programs prepare students for work in fields such as finance, consulting, banking, insurance, engineering research, bioengineering, electronic and computer industry, aerospace engineering, etc. These programs consist of both theoretical and practical training, including industrial projects, internships opportunities and "cross-training" in business and communications.
WPI is an active member institution of the National Professional Science Master’s Association (NPSMA), which is headquartered on the WPI campus. The Department of Mathematical Sciences works closely with the NPSMA to keep our programs on the cutting edge of nationwide Professional Science Master’s (PSM) Programs.
