What's an average day like for a freshman ROTC cadet? Here's the answer...
- 6:30-9:00
- Get up, go to physical training with your friends, shower, grab breakfast and head to class
- 9:00-9:50
- Class: Calculus II
- 10:00-11:50
- Class: Chemistry II: Forces and Bonding
- 12:00-1:00
- Lunch at dining hall
- 1:00-3:00
- Do homework, laundry
- 3:00-3:50
- ROTC Class: Foundations of Officership I
- 4:00-6:00
- Hang out, quick basketball game
- 6:00-7:00
- Dinner with friends
- 7:00-10:00
- Go to Calculus Help session, Study for tomorrow's test
- 10:00
- Order late-night pizza with roommate
As you can see, ROTC doesn't interfere with a normal college schedule. In fact, it enhances it. ROTC teaches skills like leadership, teamwork and time management that not only complement college life, but will help you in the real world afterward.
