Social Science is unique among the sciences in its ability to engage students in active, cutting-edge research. By participating in research projects, you will actively learn about social science methodology, learn about the process of being a participant in research, and help those conducting the experiments by providing them with very valuable data.
Many of the research projects will occur in different social science labs at WPI. However, there may be an opportunity to participate in online studies and studies conducted at other schools in the consortium as well.
We greatly appreciate your participation in our studies, and we thank you in advance for volunteering and providing your time and your thoughtfulness in the process. To make the research process run as smoothly as possible, we would like to request that you only sign up for studies you can attend, that you cancel any appointments you cannot make in a timely fashion, and that you refrain from telling friends and classmates about the purpose of the studies you participate in—as the projects are on-going over the course of several terms, semesters, and even years.
