Every student completing and office campus residential project off-campus is required to attend pre-departure orientation.  All students are required to attend their site-specific orientation and an orientation on sexual assault awareness and prevention.  Students going to international project centers or Puerto Rico are also required to complete an online orientation on safety and security in study abroad.

Going Global at WPI Handbooks
In order to ensure that every student has a successful experience, a site specific Going Global Handbook has been compiled from a number of sources to provide as much practical information as possible. This handbook is available the term preceding the students’ off-campus experience.

Handbook for IQP Advisors and Students
The handbook describes the objectives of the IQP and provides advice on how to write project proposals, conduct literature reviews, form and manage project teams, schedule project activity; run project meetings, review drafts, conduct assessments, and organize and structure the reports. While much of the information in this publication is directed at faculty, there is much useful information here for project teams as well.
