You can click on any site name to be connected to the Site Information Sheet for more details about each Center.
You must follow the steps outlined below to successfully complete your off-campus project application:
1. APPLY (All applicants must be in good academic standing at the time of application.)
This involves completing the entire application in .pdf, printing it, signing where required, producing a one (1) page resumé, and writing the reference letter. Please follow all instructions in the application. Your application is not complete if any part is not filled in, unsigned, or not personally submitted in hard copy to the IGSD. 2. ATTEND SITE SESSIONS
There are mandatory site sessions for all off-campus project opportunities (IQP, MQP and HU&A). You must attend one site session of your first choice (attendance is taken). You are strongly encouraged to attend as many different sessions as interest you before deciding on your first choice. The schedule for IQP and HU&A site sessions is available here (Please note that some times and locations have been changed -- these are highlighted in yellow). The schedule for MQP site sessions is available here.
3. APPLY TO A SITE
Site specific applications will only be available at the site sessions. You may only turn in one (1) site specific application, but you are encouraged to rank each site in your preferred order of consideration. The more sites and terms you are willing to consider the greater your chances of being placed. No one is guaranteed placement in their first choice. Please place an X next to all sites for which you do not wish to be considered.
4. SIGN UP FOR AN INTERVIEW
Each applicant must be interviewed for their first choice site. You will only be interviewed once. If you sign up for more than one (1) interview you may be disqualified. Interviews will happen in the office of the person conducting the interview. It is your responsibility to find out where that is. There is a limited window of time as to when you can access the sign-up site. The web sign-up site for IQP and HU&A interviews is available here. For those students applying to an MQP center or for Exchange, you will be contacted by the Center Director of your first choice site to schedule an interview.
5. CAREFULLY READ, REVIEW AND RETURN DOCUMENTS
You will receive a letter from the IGSD informing you of the outcome of your application: accepted, provisionally accepted, wait-listed, or denied. You must read, review and return the appropriate enclosed documents (and a deposit) to the IGSD to secure your participation in the program. The letter will outline the required next steps.
Please reference the table below to determine when the mandatory deadlines are. (Your ability to meet deadlines matters! It is one of the factors those reviewing your application will consider in determining your eligibility for an off-campus experience. You will not be sent reminder emails.)
