Project Search Help

You can search for completed projects by any of these categories:

When you click on a category and begin the search, you will see a list of all possible selections in that category. The next step is to click on the selections that you want. Select as many as you like. When you have marked the selections you desire, click on submit to start the search of the database based on those selections.

Usually when you begin a search, the database will be searched for any project with ANY of the clicked items. This is an inclusive search, which will broaden the results of your search. The other way to begin a search is to select only those projects containing ALL of the clicked items. This is an exclusive search, which will narrow your search results. Be careful though. Sometimes you can make a search too narrow. The exclusive option is best used when you want to combine projects contained in two or more categories.

Searching can become much more complicated, but the simple cases should be pretty straightforward. For example, if you simply want to list projects which contain the keyword solar, then all you have to do is click on keyword and then click on solar and click to search and then click to display.

Remember that you must click on submit in order to make most things happen in a project search. Think of clicking on submit as being similar to hitting the Return or Enter key on your keyboard after you've typed a command at your system prompt.
