MPI Faculty to Speak at the first Light Metals Technology (LMT) Conference in Australia
Prof. Makhlouf and Mr. John Jorstad will present papers at the LMT Conference in Brisbane, Australia in September 2003. LMT2003 is the first conference of its kind, involving collaboration between four of world's key international light metals research centres: CAST, LKR, CANMET and MPI (WPI). The conference will be held from Thursday (18th) to Saturday (20th) September in Brisbane Australia at the Sheraton Hotel, directly following on from the International Aluminium Casthouse Technology conference being held at the same venue.
The purpose of the conference is to provide an opportunity for researchers and industry to learn of new developments and research which has been undertaken in a cooperative manner with industry and to create an environment for further cooperative opportunities to be initiated.
Presenters will be from both industry and research communities and the presentations will contain scientific information on new technical developments in the application of light metals. A poster session will provide further information on the breadth of research being undertaken in light metals and on the research institutions and industry partners involved in cooperative research.
