Mechanical Engineering Department Names Sisson Outstanding Advisor of the Year
Prof. Gretar T. announced that Rick Sisson has been awarded the Morgan-Worcester Distinguished Instructorship for 2006.
Established in 1974 through a gift from Morgan Construction co., manufacturers of rolling mills and steel-making equipment, the Morgan-Worcester Distinguished Instructorship exists to provide assistance to a mechanical engineering professor.
Morgan family members, both as individuals and through the company, have been associated with WPI since it's founding in 1865.
This generous endowed instructorship honors a family that has for four generations given distinguished and dynamic leadership to WPI and to the Worcester community.
This award is determined by a vote of the ME undergraduate and graduate student body at the end of D Term recognizing a faculty member for outstanding advising.
