Jim Van Wert Elected Chair of ACRC Steering Committee
At the ACRC Annual December meeting, Jim van Wert of Amcast was unanimously elected as Chair of the ACRC Steering Committee. Jim is Vice President of Technology and Chief Technical Officer for Amcast Industrial Corporation and is involved in aluminum technology. Diran Apelian, Director of MPI, stated that "ACRC will make great strides in the next two years under Jim’s leadership." The ACRC Steering Committee is responsible for selecting research projects and thus plays a very crucial role in the directions of ACRC.
