E-term 50% Tuition Program
Students who received an NR in approved core math and science courses are eligible to take those courses again over E-term at a reduced tuition rate. The approved math and science courses represent an important foundation to a student's academic success at WPI. Since most degree programs expect a level of skill beyond this standard, we believe it is important for students to succeed in these classes early in their academic course of study. By offering these courses at a reduced rate in the summer, we hope that students will be able to successfully complete these fundamental courses, which are essential to their continued success at WPI. The NR can be from any previous term, and the 50% rate applies to all sections of the course offered, traditional or online. The reduced rate only applies to the approved courses and only if the student has received an NR in that course.
The 2012 E-term courses offered for this program are as follows:
| Chemistry I (CH 1010) | Physics II (PH 1120) | Differential Equations (MA 2051) |
| Chemistry II (CH 1020) | Calculus I (MA 1021)* | Matrices and Linear Algebra I (MA 2071) |
| Chemistry III (CH 1030) | Calculus II (MA 1022) | Applied Statistics I (MA 2611) |
| Chemistry IV (CH 1040) | Calculus III (MA 1023) | |
