Cadet Shane, '12

Degree: BS, Mechanical Engineering

Reasons for choosing AFROTC:
The opportunity to fly for a living; it would be an honor to serve and honor my family and country. Plus, I've been around all of the services growing up, and the Air Force was where I felt most comfortable.

Describe how your experience with AFROTC has been beneficial to you during your time at WPI.
I have built up my written and verbal communication skills. Also, AFROTC really drove home the importance of service before self. Finally, it has done a great job of keeping me motivated.

What you hope to do when you graduate?
I’d like to enter active duty as soon as possible—and get hired for a great engineering job in the Air Force.
